Photographic Images Created During a Focus Adventures Program
(including Strabo PhotoTour Collection international partnership tours)

I am always thrilled at the quality (and quantity) of incredible work turned out by the participants of our photographic workshops and tours. Whether here in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, or at a destination around the world, the creative spirit of each partiicipant shines through his or her images. Even when we are all at the same location, each person shares his or her unique perspective on the subject. So It is with gratitude to each one of our participants who has given me permission to include their images on these pages, that I offer their eclectic and uniquely personal views of the world for others to enjoy.

Thank you!

A few words about creating photographic images...
Creating moving photographic images is about visual literacy...seeing rather than looking. What makes one photographer’s work different from another’s has to do with how each one thinks and feels and what he or she brings to the photographic moment. A good photographer uses personal vision and creative spirit as well as technology to create images that communicate. In all of our Focus Adventures programs, we emphasize the use of the camera as a tool for personal growth and self-discovery.

A great photograph is a gift to ourselves and to the viewer. It will elicit emotion. When a photograph is great, art and craft, technique and aesthetics are inseparable.
